It was a cold rainy morning in November.  My buddy from Colorado was visiting to archery hunt whitetails.  It was the week before the Nebraska rifle season and we were running out of time...We couldn't take a day off.  We put on our gear as my dad got ready for work.  He looked at the dropping temperature.  He heard the wind and rain hit off the windows.  I'll never forget what he said:

You boys still going out?

Yeah, we replied.

You're going have to earn it today.

'You're going to have earn' it became my mantra in life.  If it isn't challenging me, it isn't making me better.  These are my stories and what I learned.

Learn:  If you aren't going forwards you are going backwards.
